Duck Race Day!

Adopt a Duck for $20 each to support the Community Recycling Committee (#55 on the Duck Race adoption form) and then enjoy a day of festivities focused on one of the community's most beloved fundraising events.

The Community Recycling Committee sponsors a craft booth at the Duck Race Festival in Bond Park where children can make Olafs, frogs, ducks, and lady bugs using recycled materials (a repeat of a popular activity from last year's GeoFest).

Besides the festival in Bond Park, Duck Race includes preliminary events at Nicky's Resort beginning at 11:00 a.m., with the Duck Race start time there at 1:00 p.m.  The finish line is at George Hix Plaza adjacent to the Wheel Bar downtown.

Ducks may be adopted online at or by picking up adoption forms from Community Recycling Committee members.  Donations enable the Community Recycling Committee to purchase animal-resistant recycling bins, purchase materials to support recycling education programs in our schools, and maintain and distribute current information on how to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle in the Estes Valley.  The Duck Race is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Estes Park.
