E-Cycle - Shredding - Scrap Metal and Paint Recycle

  • Saturday, October 13th, 2018

  • 9:00 AM  - 12:00 PM

  • Presbyterian Community Church of the Rockies, 1700 Brodie Ave, Estes Park, CO 80517

  • The Community Recycling Committee of the League of Women Voters will be holding a four-fold recycling activity at the Presbyterian Community Church of the Rockies, along with our partners at the Presbyterian Church, the Rotary Club of Estes Park, and Bestway Painting:

E-Cycle:  Relieve yourselves of old TVs, monitors, and modems.

Note:  Batteries will be collected in Estes during June!  Save 'em and monitor this page for the June date for battery recycling in Estes by Larimer County.

Recycling electronics requires a fee wherever one recycles them. Here is OUR price schedule, which includes the cost of transporting these goods, and paying for recycling at CHaRM in Boulder or elsewhere. See our reasonable price schedule here.

Note: We will NOT accept microwave ovens. Take these to CHaRM in Boulder. We repeat, we will NOT accept batteries on April 21st.

Paint recycle:   Correctly dispose  of paint products

(see our Recycle Paint Products page)

Shredathon:  Shred your sensitive office papers, checks, etc. Staples may be included!

Scrap Metal:  Recycle your metallic items. These items must be completely metallic. If the item is either unwieldy or very heavy, you may recycle it only if you can lift it, or bring help to do so. The health of our volunteers is important.

The members of your Community Recycling Committeeare using this activity to remove things that may wind up in our waste stream, and thence into the Larimer County Landfill.

We are committed to help change people's mindset about how to go about our daily business, and move towards a zero-waste environment. That will help the public, our business, and our bottom lines, including keeping our environment sustainable.

Please let your neighbors know about this.

Start gathering your materials. April 21st is just around the corner!

We welcome volunteers for these activities -

  • For E-Cycle, contact Steve Kaplan ( or 914.564.1836)

  • For Shred-a-thon, and metal recycling, contact Tara Moenning (

  • For traffic control and other volunteer services, contact Judi Smith (

We had a very rewarding time doing these activities last April. Help Estes Park manage their waste stream in a more sustainable way. Come with your recyclables on October 13th!
